ADVENTURES OF A SEXUALLY-FRUSTRATED,

ALCOHOLIC GRINGO IN LATIN AMERICA

I am an American who relocated to Peru in April 2008.  I have a market research position here and a freelance writing position in the States.  This move is the start of my new life in Latin America.  I don’t know if I will end up in Peru, but I will end up somewhere (Brazil, Mexico, ???).  I like to drink irresponsibly, chase women, act like an idiot and write about it.  I also like to analyze the social, cultural, and economic factors in my experiences.

  • Hi,

My name is Ben Moran. I’m from The Takeaway, (http://www.thetakeaway.org/about/), a public radio show based in New York City, co-produced with WNYC and Public Radio International, in collaboration with the BBC World Service, the New York Times and WGBH Boston. We’re working with Global Voices and inviting bloggers outside America (both native foreigners and ex-pats) to post and comment on the U.S. elections as part of our “Global Electoral College” project (http://vote2008.thetakeaway.org/global-electoral-college/).

I saw your blog and thought you would be a great addition to our site, to talk about your perspective on what is happening in America and to hear stories of how issues are affecting you directly.

This will be an exciting opportunity for both of us. You will have expanded exposure on a national (American) platform and we may ask you for your comments an analysis on a specific issue.

For a first step, we would like to aggregate your RSS feed on our site, but we might also ask for an occasional blog post or comment from you. (You can write on your blog, on ours, or you can cross post.)

We hope that you would like to take part in this project and add your voice to our site. Please follow up with any questions, and let me know if you are interested.

    Thank you,

    Ben
